Servicing Your Generator at PowerMark

PowerMark have engineers up and down the country, ready to service your generator. All of our engineers are fully qualified and have vast experience with all KVA output ranges. Our engineers are fully trained to service the whole power range that we offer on our website, plus more. That goes for the petrol or gas portable generators, from 2000W all the way up to our containerised 2250KVA diesel generators.

As well as our trained engineers, the parts used during the service are genuine parts direct from the engine manufacturer, whether that be Perkins, Cummins, Lister Petter, Champion, Warrior or Briggs & Stratton. The oil and coolant are supplied as per the manufacturer’s recommendations, ensuring your generator is serviced to its optimum performance, and therefore will increase the longevity of use of your generator by not using aftermarket, non-genuine parts. 

We recently started servicing all hospital generators for the NHS in Derbyshire, this was a milestone achievement for PowerMark, having the honour to service the backup power to the buildings across Derbyshire. The services were not straight forward, issues with the supply of genuine parts from manufacturers, whether that be delays, or that the parts were not readily available due to the age of some of the generators. However, as PowerMark deal directly with the manufacturers, we were able to supply these parts. Communicating with the head contact for NHS Derbyshire giving them regular updates for when the parts were set to arrive and when we would subsequently be attending site. The generators ranged from all different manufacturers, from SDMO to Constant Power Solutions, using the likes of Cummins, Volvo, Deutz and Perkins engines.

Each generator was serviced by our qualified engineers, including, but not limited to, oil, fuel, air filters, fan belts, oil change and coolant change and/or top up. Each diesel generator undertook and successfully passed a full 110% load test, witnessed by the on-site maintenance manager from the NHS. All generators tested thus far have passed and over exceeded the maintenance managers expectations

Once each generator service is completed, the PowerMark service report, test report, are then signed by the maintenance manager, PowerMark engineer and then emailed to the head contact for approval.

Once the parts have all been returned to PowerMark, they are disposed in the correct manner, we used a local disposable company to ensure no parts or oil is placed into the environment and potentially causing damage.

This particular service job was won by the PowerMark teams’ efforts during the tender stage, going beyond to provide all documentation and evidence to show we can service important generators.
